The Devil Lied To Me and At Some Point I Kept Answering Every Altar Calls.
TEXT: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16
DEVOTIONAL:
The enemy loves to plant doubt in the hearts of believers — especially sincere women who desire God deeply.
He whispers: “Are you sure? Did it really happen? Are you really saved?”
This lie is dangerous because it steals peace, sows fear, and keeps you questioning the love of God.
It makes you feel like salvation is something you must repeatedly earn — rather than the finished work of the Cross.
But the truth is clear: salvation is not based on feelings or repeated altar calls — it is based on what Christ accomplished on the cross.
When you accepted Jesus, the Spirit came to dwell in you– Your identity changed, destiny changed and your eternal life began.
Doubt may knock, but it does not undo what God has done.
He does not require perfection to confirm your salvation — only surrender and faith.
Child of God, hear this today:
You are saved. You are chosen. You are a child of the Most High.
Do not let the enemy steal the joy of your salvation with repeated lies and whispers.
Your assurance is not in your feelings, your works, or the number of times you prayed.
It is in the Spirit of God — who testifies that you belong to Him forever.
REFLECTION:
Have you questioned your salvation because of past failures or repeated prayers?
Where can you rely on the Spirit’s witness instead of your own doubts?
PRAYER:
I fully embraced the assurance of my salvation today.
I am saved, secure, and strengthened by your finished work, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
